The Cutting-Edge Technologies Behind Our Solar Cleaning Solutions

In the solar energy industry, maximizing production, minimizing maintenance costs and optimizing cleaning performance are key for solar asset owners, O&M teams and cleaning professionals.

The technologies behind our products have been designed to provide a better response to their needs, offering cutting-edge solutions that optimize cleaning, reduce costs and improve the performance of solar panels, making them unique in the market. Each of our products is powered by advanced technologies that are engineered to tackle specific challenges in solar panel cleaning and maintenance. Below, we explore the seven advanced technologies that power our product range, detailing how they work and which products they are associated with.

Antistatic Easy+ Technology: Reducing Static Electricity for Cleaner Panels

Static electricity is one of the main culprits behind soiling accumulation on solar panels. Our Antistatic Easy+ Technology was developed with the goal of altering the behavior of glass to reduce static buildup, which in turn minimizes the attraction of the fine dust particles.

The easiness of application is another main characteristic of this technology. By integrating the application of the coating during the cleaning process, the cost of application disappears, since there are no additional steps such as precleaning. This prevents, not only extra costs, but also tough negotiations on additional operations for existing cleaning contracts.

This technology is featured in the following products:

Hydrophobic Easy+ Technology: Transforming Glass to promote Self-Cleaning

Our Hydrophobic Easy+ Technology is designed to provide solar panels with easy-to-clean properties by changing the typical hydrophilic nature of glass into hydrophobic. This is achieved by bonding functional groups to the glass surface that have a high affinity for it, forming strong chemical bonds that do not require long curing times or high temperatures.

The hydrophobic properties reduce water retention and soiling adherence, resulting in panels that stay cleaner for longer periods of time. This technology is ideal for areas with frequent rainfall, as the water droplets will bead up and roll off the panels, carrying soiling with them.

Similarly to the Antistatic Easy+, this technology is also applied during the normal cleaning operations.

Products that utilize this technology include:

Advanced Low Adhesion Technology: Making Future Cleanings Easier

For solar plant operators and cleaning professionals, making each subsequent cleaning easier is a huge benefit. Our Advanced Low Adhesion Technology does exactly that by reducing the adhesion of soiling and contaminants on solar panels. This technology ensures that after the initial cleaning, soiling and other particles are less likely to stick to the surface, resulting in reduced cleaning time and effort in the future. With this technology, solar panel maintenance becomes significantly less labor-intensive, allowing for quicker and more effective cleanings.

This technology is featured in:

AluProtect Technology: Protecting Aluminum Structures from Oxidation

The aluminum structures of solar panels are often vulnerable to oxidation, particularly when exposed to cleaning agents with non-neutral pH levels. Our AluProtect Technology provides protection for aluminum structures by acting as a protection layer, allowing the use of non-pH-neutral active ingredients without causing damage.

This is especially important for products designed to tackle stubborn contaminants like cement, lichen, paint, and metal oxides. The protective action of this technology ensures the longevity of aluminum components, eliminating the risk of oxidation and subsequent structural damage.

Products utilizing AluProtect Technology include:

Instant React Technology: Fast-Acting Solutions for Quick Cleaning

Time is of the essence when cleaning solar panels and this technology is designed for fast and effective cleaning. Instant React Technology is formulated to provide immediate action upon contact with contaminants. Whether it's cement residue or metal oxides, this technology initiates a visible reaction that allows for quick and efficient removal.

For example, in our Cement Removal Agent (CRA), the active ingredients react with calcium residues to form a soluble substance that can be easily rinsed away. In the case of our Metal Oxides Removal Agent (ARM), the technology specifically targets metal oxides, breaking their bond with the substrate and forming a complex that can be effectively washed off.

This rapid response is particularly beneficial for larger sites where efficient cleaning time is essential.

This technology powers:

Active Bond Breaker Technology: Breaking Bonds for Effective Removal

Some contaminants, like lichens and paints, form strong bonds with solar panel surfaces. Our Active Bond Breaker Technology was developed to tackle these stubborn contaminants by breaking the bond between the contaminant and the module. This allows for easy and thorough removal without damaging the underlying surface.

For lichens, the cationic surfactants used in our Lichen Removal Agent (LRA) not only break the bond but also offer antifungal properties to prevent future growth. In our Paint Removal Agent (PRA), a combination of active ingredients emulsifies and lifts the paint from the glass, making it easy to remove.

The technologies behind our products are the result of years of research and development aimed at solving the unique challenges faced by the solar industry.

By leveraging these innovations, solar asset owners, O&M teams, and cleaning professionals can optimize the performance of their installations, reduce operational costs, and maximize the lifespan of the solar panels.
